The Opportunity:
Local work is available for a Trades Assistant with basic welding and fabricating skills to join the team at Kewpie Steel in Kingaroy.
The position can be tailored to preferences for full-time, part-time or casual to assist with workshop-based welding / fabricating projects in Kingaroy and other on-site work within the South Burnett.

Scope of the Role:
Depending on the skill level of the successful applicant, welding and fabricating projects will vary to include:
- General welding.
- Sheet metal work and steel cutting.
- Interpreting basic plans and conceptual drawings.
- Component assembly.
- Plant and facility maintenance
- Maintaining high workplace safety standards.
The Successful Applicant:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of basic welding and fabrication experience.
- Mechanical aptitude with practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings.
- .A reliable, team-oriented approach in the workplace.
- Strong commitment to a safe workplace.
- Current manual driver licence.
Although not essential requirements, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:
- A farming or rural background.
- A current forklift licence.

The Hours:
The workshop is open between 7.00 to 5.00 Monday to Friday with the flexibility to accommodate individually preferred working hours for full-time, part-time or casual employment.
The Pay:
The pay rate will reflect the level of experience and skills.
