The position will process all payroll data to assist with the efficient, timely and accurate payments to all employees in accordance with statutory, legislative and award compliance requirements and will also provide general administration support for other functions within the business services team.

About CRAICCHS:
Cherbourg Regional Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Service (CRAICCHS) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisation.
CRAICCHS objective is to provide access to holistic and client-centred quality primary health care and social and emotional wellbeing services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the South Burnett regions.
Key Duties:
The duties will be diverse, and although not limited to, will include:
- End-to end payroll processing for fortnightly payments to all employees using Employment Hero.
- Payments for PAYG, WorkCover and Superannuation.
- Processing new starters, terminations, payroll adjustments and annual & personal leave.
- Compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and contractual agreements.
- ATO reporting and payments.
- Month-end processing and reconciliations for payroll accruals, tax and superannuation.
- Publish payslips to employees.
- Respond to all employee enquiries regarding pay, superannuation, salary packaging, allowances and payroll tax.
- Maintain currency with all changes in legislation, thresholds and rates impacting payroll.
- Facilitate Employment Hero training for managers and employees.
- Support the Corporate Services team with administrative, HR and other business operations.
- Maintain the accountability and integrity of Employment Hero systems with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in computerised payroll preparation and processing in a medium to large sized service driven organisation.
- An understanding and proven application of current employment legislation, taxation, relevant awards and superannuation.
- Strong computer competencies with Windows, MS Office and other information and quality management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and communicate sensitively with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability and those with diverse characteristics and life experiences.
- The ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks with frequently changing priorities.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to initiate plans and prioritise tasks.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with high quality data entry, keyboard and numeracy skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and completion of any required mandatory training.
- Flexibility to work or travel within the region to meet specific needs of the role.
- The ability to exercise the highest level of discretion and confidentiality, uphold ethical standards and values and to act with integrity.
Although not essential requirements, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:
- Cert IV in Payroll Administration or a Diploma of Payroll Management or other qualifications relevant to the role.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural competency training.
- Current CPR and First aid Certificates.
