The Opportunity:
Work locally in the South Burnett and apply your skills and experience to a full-time opportunity operating a feedmill and feed truck at the family-owned Pakaderinga Feedlot near Kingaroy.
The position will include the preparation, distribution and sampling of animal feed.

Scope of the Role:
Daily duties will be diverse to achieve the production of quality beef and will include:
- Feedmill operation to process and mill grain to approved specifications.
- Accurately batch and load feed ingredients to meet authorised nutrition standards.
- Operate feed truck to deliver and distribute feed to the nominated pens.
- Test and record feed quality.
- Maintain equipment and workplace environment to ensure contamination-free operations.
- Enter data into the livestock management system – FY3000.
- Ensure clear reporting and communication with all team members.
- Maintain site safety standards including the wearing of PPE.
The Successful Applicant:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- The ability to operate feed processing, loading and delivery equipment.
- Sound numeracy skills and attention to detail for batching, testing, inventory and production records.
- Computer literacy for the use of FY3000 and the completion of hardcopy data.
- The ability to consistently follow instructions and procedures.
- The proven ability to effectively communicate and work well in a team.
- The availability for a 10 on / 4 off work roster to support a close-knit operational team.
- A current driver licence
- Demonstrated Loader competency.
- A current first Aid Certificate or the ability to acquire.
- A strong commitment to a safe workplace.
Although not essential requirements, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:
- Previous feedmill, feedlot, grain handling, agricultural or heavy equipment experience.
- General cattle knowledge with an understanding of feed, animal health and performance.
- Experience with sampling and quality testing.
The Employer:
Pakaderinga Feedlot is a 6,000-head, family-owned and operated cattle feedlot in the South Burnett region approximately 25 km north-east of Kingaroy.
